The PHP Blog

About

Nice of you to ask

The PHP Blog is currently a one man band ran by me, Dan Walker. It all started when a friend of mine had a domain he no longer wanted called thephpblog.org, looking for a project at the time I decided to take it off his hands and start a blog dedicated to teaching PHP. However half way through getting it all setup and running, my freelance projects started lapping and I got offered a job at Surge Marketing as Technical Director which I happily accepted. With all this going on, The PHP Blog got left on the shelf and when I came back the domain was close to expiring. I decided to buy a .com instead and re-design it to what you see now and get it going once and for all, I hope you like it!

And a little about me

Well I’m Daniel J. Walker or Dan as most people know me, I’m currently studying Ethical Hacking for Computer Security BSc at Northumbria University in the UK but I’m originally from Nottingham, UK. I’ve been coding PHP since about the age of 15 and developing websites for clients and such since about 16. Coding is a passion of mine and as you can see, I enjoy teaching it to others.
